Terms of Service for RAR2ZIP

The rules for using the RAR2ZIP browser converter and downloading ZIP files generated from source RAR archives.

Effective Date: September 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of rartozipconverter.wiki and the RAR2ZIP browser-based converter. By visiting the site or using the RAR to ZIP converter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or download generated files.

1. Service description

RAR2ZIP provides a browser-based utility and explanatory content for converting complete single-volume RAR archives into downloadable ZIP files. The homepage may include file selection, drag and drop, local metadata scanning, file-list search, extraction, ZIP packaging, download and reset controls.

The current browser workflow has a practical 512 MB input limit and requires JavaScript, WebAssembly and a compatible modern browser. We may add, change, pause or remove features as the site evolves.

2. Your archives and generated ZIP files

You are responsible for the RAR files you choose to process and for having the rights needed to access, extract, convert, download and share their contents. The converter does not grant copyright, privacy, trademark, confidentiality or other rights in an archive or the files inside it.

The service creates a new ZIP download from regular file entries that the browser archive engine can read. Folder paths may be preserved, but metadata, permissions, symbolic links, encryption, recovery records and other archive features may not map perfectly to a simple ZIP output. Test the generated file before relying on it.

3. Unsupported or unreliable cases

  • Multipart archives such as .part1.rar, .part2.rar, .r00 or similar companion volumes.
  • Password-protected or encrypted archives that the current browser workflow cannot unlock.
  • Damaged, truncated, incomplete or otherwise unreadable RAR files.
  • Archives whose size, file count, compression method or extracted contents exceed practical browser memory.
  • Archive features that cannot be represented safely by the simple ZIP writer used for this MVP.

A failure or limitation message is not a promise that a desktop archive utility will also fail. If the archive is important, keep the source file and use a trusted local utility that supports its specific format and encryption settings.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the site to process or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful or deceptive content.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, scrape aggressively or interfere with the site or other visitors.
  • Do not upload or process files that you are not authorized to access or modify.
  • Do not inject malicious scripts, bypass security controls or test the site in a way that harms its availability.
  • Do not misrepresent RAR2ZIP as affiliated with WinRAR, RARLAB or another archive vendor.

5. Local processing and storage

The normal converter path is designed to process the selected archive in your browser and create a temporary local ZIP download object. RAR2ZIP is not a backup service, permanent file host, malware scanner, archival system or guaranteed storage location. Save your own copy of any output you need.

Browser behavior depends on your device, operating system, browser version, extensions and available memory. You are responsible for keeping your browser and device secure and for checking the generated ZIP before sharing or deploying it.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, pause or remove the converter, explanatory content, archive-engine assets or download behavior at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every browser or permanent access to any generated output.

A future update may change supported archive cases, limits, file naming, interface states or privacy disclosures. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms for future use.

7. Intellectual property

The original RAR2ZIP site text, layout, interface organization, branding and code are owned by RAR2ZIP or used with permission unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, resell, frame or present the site in a way that suggests a false relationship with RAR2ZIP.

Your source archives remain your responsibility. Any rights in a generated ZIP depend on your rights in the source files and on applicable law or third-party agreements.

8. External links

The site may link to browser documentation, archive-format references, standards, third-party utilities or policy pages. We do not control third-party websites, content, availability, downloads or privacy practices. A link does not guarantee endorsement, safety or compatibility. Review third-party terms before relying on an external service.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the converter will meet every requirement, recognize every RAR archive, preserve every archive feature, produce a particular file size or remain available without interruption.

You are responsible for backups, permissions, security review, browser testing, output validation, legal review and production decisions based on any generated ZIP file.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RAR2ZIP and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, inability to use the site, source archives, generated ZIP files, support communications or third-party services. This includes lost data, lost profits, lost goodwill, business interruption and replacement-service costs.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law.

11. Practical use reminders

Choose the complete source archive, review the metadata and sample paths, and keep the original RAR until you have opened and verified the generated ZIP. If the page reports a multipart, encrypted, damaged or oversized archive, use a trusted desktop utility rather than repeatedly submitting a file that the browser cannot safely process.

Do not use the converter as the only copy of an important document set. The site is designed to complete a one-off format conversion, not to provide long-term storage or version history.
